We are all cloth

So I just got a new to me serger and decided there is not time the present to switch 100% cloth. We had run out of paper towels and had not had a chance to get to the store. I had just got the serger the day before and have never used one in my life. I can pretty much only sew a pillow case, LOL. So instead of going to the store for paper towels (I had already done the shopping for the week) I decided to go to the fabric store and get some flannel that was 50% off. I came home and cut out all my 8x8 squares during nap time. Then I went to serging. I think I am hooked. It was super easy to do. We have been using my 8x8 squares as napkins, towels in kitchen, tissues for runny noses...this is sooo great. Ofcourse we are still using paper in the bathroom, if you know what I mean. The bonus is that I don't even have to do any extra washing because they are so small I can wash with towels and they don't take up any extra space in the machine.

Beat the Heat

The temps here in Houston are rising fast. The best way to beat the heat, play in the sprinkler. It is fun for everyone (and your grass will thank you too). The good thing is all you need for the baby is a Bummis Swimmi. They are easy to get on them when they are too excited to lay still and very cute. Check them out.
